As a musical collective, BirEsVer brings together international Berlin musicians* in changing formations. Their different origins, backgrounds, musical experiences and traditions flow into the project and create a novel mixture of musical events. The process of researching and rehearsing is the main motivation. The project and its repertoire is constantly growing, creating a connection between Berlin musicians specifically interested in acoustic traditional music. The collage of traditional pieces are placed in a new context - a journey between different ornaments and microtones, creating a mutual understanding and aesthetic convergence.
